I am a Boya Distinguished Professor at Peking University, affiliated with the Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research (BICMR).
I got my bachelor degree from Peking University and my Ph.D. from MIT. I was a postdoc at Columbia University as a Simons Junior Fellow, and then a faculty member at University of Pennsylvania, before returning to Peking University in 2023.
My research area is probability theory and mathematical physics. My Ph.D. training focused on 2D random geometry and statistical physics, after which I started to explore related areas such as conformal field theory and string theory. I am fascinated by the interplay between different mathematical areas, and between mathematics and physics.
Here is my CV .
I am a collaborator in the Simons Collaboration: Probabilistic Paths to Quantum Field Theory. During June 1-19, 2026, there will be a program in Peking University on this topic, as one of the many exciting Collaboration events in the coming years. Program website.
