I am a Full Professor of Mathematics at Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research, Peking University.
I got my bachelor degree from Peking University and my Ph.D. from MIT. I was a postdoc at Columbia University as a Simons Junior Fellow, and then a faculty member at University of Pennsylvania, before returning to Peking University in 2023.
My research area is probability theory and mathematical physics. My Ph.D. training focused on 2D random geometry and statistical physics, topics including Schramm-Loewner evolution, Gaussian free field, Liouville quantum gravity, random planar map, percolation, and uniform spanning tree. Since then I started to explore related areas in mathematical physics, such as conformal field theory and string theory. I am fascinated by the interplay between different mathematical areas, and between mathematics and physics.
Here is my CV .
In 2025 fall I taught a topic course jointly with Weijun Xu, where my topic is probabilitic approach to quantum field theory.
I am a collaborator in the Simons Collaboration: Probabilistic Paths to Quantum Field Theory. During June 1-19, 2026, there will be a program in Peking University on this topic, as one of the many exciting Collaboration events in the coming years. Program website.
