Reading group on Griffiths-Harris

This is the website for the reading group on Griffiths-Harris. The plan is to read the first 2 chapters.

If you would like to give a talk, sign up with the organizer.

Organizer: Yinying Huang

Time and place

Friday 19:00-21:00. Classroom: Quan 9.

Textbook and reference

You can download Griffiths-Harris at Publisher's website for free if you are a PKU student (Thank you, PKU library!). It is definitely worth the money to buy a paper copy. The ones for sale in China are not expensive (although the quality is not ideal).

Typos and errors in GH (by Aleksey Zinger).

Other references include Voisin's two volumne books on Hodge theory (Some people think that the English translation is better than the original French version).

Jean-Pierre Demailly (Institut Fourier) has a free textbook where he carefully explains everything (a nice compliment to GH).

Syllabus

We roughly follows this one for each week, except that we do not talk about elliptic regularities in detail. The last section on Grassmannian is also interesting to talk about.

Some important things (in ZT's opinion) to cover in the reading seminar.

You are encouraged to take a look at the problems on the above website.
